Course description: The Summer course in Portuguese as a foreign language takes place in an immersion context and has an intensive pace. In addition to Portuguese language classes, the course includes various cultural activities that promote the development of language skills and allow students to broaden their knowledge of Portuguese culture.
Target audience: Adults for whom Portuguese is a non-native language, except citizens from countries where Portuguese is an official language.
Start and end dates of the course: July 1st – July 26th, 2024
Application period: April 29th to June 24th, 2024

Students can only apply for one level per semester.

Participation in visits/activities is not mandatory. Some visits/activities are free of charge, while others will have a cost for the student (the information about the costs will be given on the 1st day of classes). It may be necessary to purchase a coursebook. The teacher will give the information necessary to purchase the coursebook on the first day of classes. The cost of the book is not included in the course price.
Before registration students must take a placement test to determine their proficiency level. Please take the placement test HERE. The result will be sent via email.

Course conditions:
- Each level successfully completed corresponds to 6 ECTS.
- The result of the placement test is not binding – in the 1st class, the teacher will reevaluate all students.
- Attendance begins to count on the day the course begins, and not when the student begins attending the course.
- The justification of absences is only valid upon the presentation of an official document.
- The student’s attendance at 80% of classes is mandatory to get the certification.
- The number of justified absences cannot exceed the number of classes attended.
- Assessment is done through direct observation in classes, homework, and a final exam.
- No exceptional assessment period will be offered to the students.
- Classes are taught in Portuguese. Teaching support of A1 level classes is given in English (the use of the English language is only for specific situations).
- The payment of the course fee guarantees enrollment but does not guarantee a place on the preferred schedule.
- Schedules are subject to possible changes without previous warning.
- The payment is valid ONLY for the date(s) of the course(s) that you enrolling in.
- Payment is non-refundable, except if the level you enrolled in does not open because there is not a minimum number of 6 students.
