Target audience: Adults for whom Portuguese is a non-native language, except citizens from countries where Portuguese is an official language.
Course description:
This course is offered fully online and is primarily (but not exclusively) aimed at applicants for the Erasmus+ program at NOVA FCSH who need to develop their language skills in Portuguese, in order to obtain the A2 level certification, which is the minimum level required for the Erasmus+ application at NOVA FCSH.
Every week students participate in two types of learning activities: synchronous (1h30 per day, 4 days per week) and asynchronous. During synchronous sessions, students join their tutor and classmates via videoconferencing. During asynchronous sessions, students work independently or in groups. Contents and materials were designed for online teaching and learning. Materials are made available to students through the university’s Moodle platform.

Course Conditions:
- Attendance begins to count on the day the course begins, and not when the student begins attending the course.
- The justification of absences is only valid upon the presentation of an official document.
- Attendance of 75% of the classes is mandatory for certification.
- The number of justified absences cannot exceed the number of classes attended.
- Assessment is continuous and is based on: (i) coursework, (ii) a reading and writing test, and (ii) a listening and speaking test.
- No exceptional assessment period will be offered to students.
- The payment is valid ONLY for the date(s) of the course(s) that you enrolled in.
- Payment is non-refundable, except if the course does not open due to lack of a minimum number of 9 students.
