FCSH organizes two intensive courses per year. Other dates are possible under the request of groups of a minimum of 5 students.

Duration: 30 hours
Levels:
A1.1 Breakthrough I
A1.2 Breakthrough II
A2.1 Elementary I
A2.2 Elementary II
(groups of 5 to 10 students)
Duration of each class: 3 hours
Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Students can only apply for one level per semester.
All classes take place at Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas – Avenida de Berna 26 C, Lisboa (view map)
Before registration students must take a placement test to determine their proficiency level – to take the placement test please contact cursoportugues@fcsh.unl.pt with the subject Mini-intensive course placement test. The result will be sent by email. If your placement test result is B1, B2, C1 or C2 you are not eligible for this course.
Registration: the result of the placement test is sent by email along with registration instructions.
Price: 350€ +2.5€ (mandatory school insurance)
Certificate of the completion of the course: 6€ –(If you are an Erasmus+ student, the Portuguese Language Course will not appear in your TOC, therefore you should request a certificate of the conclusion of the course.)

Course Conditions:
The Mini Intensive Course Face-to-face (30h) and individual classes are not credited.
The result of the diagnostic test is not binding – in the 1st class, the teacher will reevaluate all students.
Attendance begins to count on the day the course begins, and not when the student begins attending the course.
The justification of absences is only valid upon the presentation of an official document.
The student’s attendance at 80% of classes is mandatory to get the certification.
The number of justified absences cannot exceed the number of classes attended.
Assessment is done through direct observation in classes, homework and a final exam.
No exceptional assessment period will be offered to the students.
Classes are taught in Portuguese.
The teaching support for A1 level classes is given in English (the use of the English language is only for specific situations).
The payment of the course fee guarantees enrollment but does not guarantee a place on the preferred schedule.
Schedules are subject to possible changes.
The payment is valid ONLY for the date(s) of the course(s) that you enrolled.
Payment is non-refundable under any circumstances.
